Pearl of the Orient @ 5-7 Nov

Chia and Xin Yin Jiejie - aren't they look alike just like sisters; with similar gestures and expression.. :)

Chia and Jing Ren Koko - not much "sparks" in the beginning but it's too soon to comment about the potential "chemistry" between them. Haa!

Here we go - only several photos; however they are sufficient enough to describe how a wonderful trip we had in Penang with the warm hospitality showered by Pei Yee Yee and family. It was Chia's first trip apart from Malacca route (to popo and ah gong's house), which usually takes about 1.5 hours. The journey in the car was rather smooth with Chia sleeping most of the time (thank god!). Though she's not familiar and acted a little reserved at first, she has become cheery especially with the companion of lovely jiejie and koko in no time!

"Thank you Pei Yee Yee for all the treats and look forward to visiting mimi's hometown again!"

Walking @ The Park

Chia is finally able to walk without support around the 15th-month. On this day, papa brought her to the park for a leisure walk and play. However she prefers to stick to mimi (as usual) and make noise whenever mimi steps away. Well, mimi is more than willing to carry you for the time being as this will eventually be previous moments when you grow bigger.
.
shhhh.. don't let papa see this because he always scold mimi for carrying you.. hehe..

1st Pool Fun ^_^

In the first 10 minutes, she screams and cries like mad. She doesn’t seem to like water. We coaxed her into the pool with lots of toys but that didn’t work as well. In the end mimi had to carry this little princess into the pool together. And there she is - enjoying the splash for the next 20 minutes!

E-Chia is a BIG GIRL now

It's been quite some time since mimi last uploaded your pictures here. Mimi just reliased how quick you've grown.. from a tiny little baby to a "big" girl now. Your hair has started to grow longer (hehe finally), you can walk a couple of steps without support, you take your own bottle (opps just the water bottle but not the milk bottle; mimi wonders why..), you've got gigi (even that's just the two bottom ones) and you start to communicate!
.
Mimi hears lots of complaints about you every day especially when mimi is at home. Everyone that has taken care of you before agrees that you are naughtier when papa and mimi is around. Guess you're already smart enough to recognize people now and hence often show "pityful" or "wanting-to-be-carried" face when we're around. You will throw a little tantrum when your request is not granted. But then again, we're also the luckiest people to be able to see your enchanted smiles most of the times.
.
Chia no matter how big you've grown, you are still mimi's little BABY.. forever!

The Growing Years

.
I must admit that babies nowadays are very smart. They know how to grab attention especially with their parents. Take my girl as an example: she could be playing happily in the playpen one second ago without making noise; but the moment she sees her papa or me passing by - she would be so "olo" (manja) and cry non-stop so we would carry her eventually.
.
Well, we are still waiting for Chia Chia to utter her first word. Watching you grow is such a pleasant experience, Chia; and we'll be with you for sure to witness every milestone along the way!

Ribbon Girl @ 41 weeks

My QQ (this is the name I call you in front of papa) is 41 weeks old now. I always have the impression that you are 9+ months by looking at the calendar month. Well, you’ve been the joy of my life for many days, many many hours, many many many minutes and many many many many seconds... Thank you my sweetie for making mimi’s life more interesting than before.
.
.
Watching you laugh is the thing I look forward most when I return home (from working). Carrying you immediately chases away all the woes and worries. Playing with you marks the happiest moment of all. And papa once told mimi the same too. We are simply amused and contented by just looking at you...
.
Together, we’ll build lots of lots of BEAUTIFUL memories. This, we promise you.

The Campbell Kids
.
Yi Shyuan a.k.a. Shyuan Shyuan - the youngest but the loudest in the family. She's 7+ months and laugh a lot (see the proof in this photo). Everyone likes to pinch her rosy cheek. :)
.Yi Fan a.k.a. Pan Pan - the most stubborn kid in the family. He desires for attention after the two mei mei were born. However he's the most considerate child as he let people take his seats, he does not forget mei mei when going out and many more. My heart melts everytime I look at his "innocent" face and then give in.
.Yi Ming a.k.a. Koko - the most cheeky kid in the family. Koko is like a small adult in the house. He helps to take things when ordered and especially like drawing and playing with water. He's the first to come out with all the "monkey" stunts, which eventually followed by the rest.
.E-Chia a.k.a. Yi Chia - the most "hong bao cong" (si manja) in the family. Though we remind each other not to pamper her too much, she always managed to con papa and mimi and kakak into her tricks. The result - she gets bao bao (carried) most of the times!

Dumb Dumb Face @ CNY 2010

Chiachia spent her first Chinese New Year in 2010; in malacca. She has been to ah po's and ah kong's house (my in law's place) for numerous times. However, she takes an hour or so to get used to the environment everytime we're there. Though she showed confused, bored and dummy face when this picture's taken, it's actually the other way round at the scene. She's like a little princess, where everyone takes turn to carry her and play with her. She's the first child from my hubby's family and extended families as all my cousins are not married yet.
.
This makes ah ma (my mami) complaint a lot when she returns to Kinrara because she's become naughty after being pampared much for a week. Well, you better behave girl... because ah ma is ever ready with her rotan! Hehehehe...
Drooooling @ 33 weeks

My girl looks "comot" with saliva most of the time at 8 months. And whatever things she reaches, she'll put them into her mouth. That's like babies' standard operating procedure from what I notice. We try to give teether so it's better and safer for teeth development but it seems she likes to bite things made of harder material. Also, I always laugh at her for having no gigi yet (not even the sign) after the 8th-month. :D

Walker Experience

There's one way to make her quiet without having to worry she'll fall or knock herself on hard surface. Yeah... WALKER comes in handy recently. We started putting her in the walker since the past couple of weeks and she liked it. She'll roll here and there if we place her in the lighter walker and she'll stand still if we place her in the heavier ones. Cherish your walker moment girl... or rather keep this picture for memory because you will not have these pictures later when you can walk by yourself! Papa and mimi are looking forward.....

Playful @ 30 weeks

You laugh a lot nowadays and always show us your cheeky face. Papa and mimi couldn't bear to scold you much even if you're naughty.. like when you don't finish your milk, moving here and there when we're trying to dress you up etc. Every expression that you show moves and touches our hearts from within. Time flies and you're 7.5 months now. Way to go girl... and we hope you stay cheery and HAPPY at all times.
